Brewing 101: Pour Overs

Are you a home brewer interested in stepping up your coffee game? Do you watch your baristas brewing coffee and wish you knew what they knew? This is the class for you! Learn the techniques and recipes that coffee pros use when making coffee. We’ll practice a variety of pour over methods- ranging from Chemex to Kalita and V60- to allow attendees to find their favorite brew method and recipe to replicate at home.

Our “Brewing 101: Pour Overs” class will cover the following topics: essential home brewing tools, pour over techniques and recipes using Chemex, Kalita Wave and V60 pour overs, brewing experimentation, and more.

No previous coffee training necessary, though attending our “Brewing Theory and Science” workshop is highly recommended for all “Brewing 101” series attendees.

About Your Instructor:
Diana Mnatsakanyan-Sapp is a Specialty Coffee Association certified coffee educator, the Director of Operations at Undercurrent Coffee, and co-founder of the POUR Coffee Festival. A coffee professional of seven years, she also serves on the Editorial Advisory board for Sprudge media, is a contributing writer for Barista Magazine, and has judged on the national stage for the United States Barista Championships.
